DSA Application

Primary Six students may seek Direct School Admission into Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) before the Secondary One Posting Exercise in 2017, for year of study in 2018.

Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the school’s academic and non-academic requirements, and the programme available to develop the area of talent.

We welcome and invite students who have demonstrated aptitude in Badminton (boys and girls), Chinese dance (girls only) and Volleyball (boys only) to apply for direct admission into Geylang Methodist School (Secondary).

  • For the past five years, our badminton team has been placed amongst the Top 8 schools in the East Zone. Whilst the school’s badminton team is relatively young, members are hardworking and good team players.
  • The Chinese Dance group has won Gold with Honours and Certificate of Distinction in several SYF competitions. Our students in the Chinese Dance group are confident, passionate and committed. They are exposed to various dance cultures and are disciplined and motivated to do their best for every performance.
  • In recent years, our Volleyball boys have grown from strength to strength, emerging 1st runner-up in the East Zone and amongst the Top 8 in the Nationals in 2017. The Volleyball team is tenacious and gracious and members enjoy the strong camaraderie among them.

If you are a motivated student who want to stretch your potential and be part of a close-knit community committed to growth, we look forward to receiving your application and to welcome you into GMS(S).
