The Student Council comprises of selected students who are passionate in leading and serving the school. We try our utmost best to grow together as a family, and to level up our leadership abilities.
This year, the Student Council was involved in organising a dialogue session with the lower secondary students during Form Teacher Time. This is so as to better understand the needs of the students and hence cater to their welfare. Last year, we blessed the school and community by painting the Humanities Room, and creating Christmas hampers for our Heartsprings Residents end of last year as part of our leadership development.
Our councillors were also sent to participate in student leadership conferences, seminars and camps organised by various schools and private companies. In addition, a team of our student councillors emerged as the Champion in the Leadership Face-Off 2015 organised by the Halogen Foundation! Our councillors were also ambassadors to the Good Morning ‘Cher Exhibition that was launched by the Ministry of Education for visitors to relieve their most nostalgic memories of their school days.
We are also proud to share that our seniors, Vice President Lee Jia En, Caleb (F44), Head of Welfare Jonas Lim Wei Qi (F42), and Head of Discipline Nur Thaqifah Atiqah (H41), of the 6th Student Council, have been awarded the Goh Chok Tong NextGen Outstanding Youth Leader Award 2015.
The student councillors have certainly achieved success this year and we are proud to state that we have achieved our aspirations and objectives as laid out in 2014, which was to work towards servant leadership. In 2015 and with God’s Grace, we look forward to further share our blessings to our school and the community!
